Israeli man missing in Yemen

A 64-year-old Israeli man of Yemeni origin has been missing in Yemen for three months, Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth reported.

Quoting official sources, the paper said: “The man emigrated from Yemen to Israel in 1995.” Adding that he visited Yemen on four occasions since then using a foreign passport.

During his last visit in 2013, he was detained for three months on suspicion of spying for Israel, and was only released when rebels tried to take over the city, leading authorities to free all detainees.

He returned to the war-torn country to bring his brother, who was left behind in Yemen, to Israel.

The man’s daughter said she was very concerned about him.

“If he had arrived there, I believe he would’ve contacted us. I’m very much afraid ,” she said.
