Israeli companies should treat London as their “first priority” when they are expanding, London Mayor Boris Johnson is urging on an official trip to Tel Aviv.

During a three-day trade mission, Johnson is due to meet businessmen and politicians in Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Johnson is due to host a reception tonight where he is to encourage Israel’s business community to invest in London.

A number of Israeli firms have already announced that they will be opening their headquarters in the British capital, London.

Johnson will travel to Jerusalem and the Palestinian city of Ramallah later this week.

He also plans to lay a wreath during a visit to Yad Vashem, Israel’s official memorial to victims of the Holocaust, and play football with Arab and Jewish youngsters.
