Abul-Fotouh’s driver released after ‘36 hours of harsh torture’

The head of Strong Egypt Party Abdul-Monem Abul-Fotouh announced yesterday the release of his driver after “36 hours of harsh torture” by Egyptian authorities, Rassd.com reported.

Abul-Fotouh said that his driver Mostafa, who was kidnapped by “unidentified” Egyptian security services, was released after being severely tortured.

Describing the torture, Abul-Fotouh said that Mostafa was administered electric shocks on sensitive parts of his body, and as a result temporarily lost the ability to speak.

The former candidate for the Egyptian presidency blamed the security services for the kidnapping Mostafa and the consequences of torturing him.

On Monday, Abul-Fotouh announced the kidnapping of his driver and called for the Egyptian security services to search for him.
