Israeli authorities have renewed an order banning the leader of the Islamic Movement in Israel, Sheikh Raed Salah, from entering Jerusalem for an additional six months.

On Monday, the authorities handed Sheikh Salah a military order prohibiting him from entering Jerusalem city from the 25 December 2015 until 24 June 2016.

Sheikh Salah commented that the aim of the consecutive sentences against him is to deprive him of visiting Al-Aqsa Mosque. Since 2007, he has been prohibited from approaching within 150 meters of Jerusalem and is also banned from traveling abroad.
