Unidentified assailants targeted a bus carrying Israeli tourists in western Cairo, a security source told the Anadolu Agency.
The source said there were no casualties in the incident, which took place in front of a hotel.
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior said in a written statement that around 15 unidentified individuals “targeted security forces using fireworks”.

According to the statement, one of the assailants also attacked police with a “shotgun in front of the hotel”.
Police arrested one suspect who was hiding behind the hotel.
