The Tobruk-based House of Representatives has rejected the Libyan National Unity Government which emanated from the Libyan agreement signed in Skhirat, Morocco, and is led by Fayez Al-Sarraj.

According to local media sources, the House of Representatives in Tobruk has requested Prime Minister Al-Sarraj form a new, smaller government to serve as a crisis government, and to reduce the number of ministers as well as the proposed ministerial portfolios within 10 days.

According to the UN-backed political agreement signed in Skhirat, the Tobruk-based parliament must approve the government 10 days from the date it is announced.
