Egypt’s Minister of Justice Ahmed Al-Zind said the armed forces have spared no effort in avenging the deaths of five security personnel killed by an explosion in the Sinai Peninsula yesterday.

In an interview with Egyptian channel Sada Al-Balad he said: “The fire in my heart will not be extinguished until for every martyr, 10,000 extremists from the Muslim Brotherhood and anyone who supports or loves them are killed.”

Five Egyptian security personnel were killed and at least a dozen others injured in a roadside bomb west of Al-Arish in the Sinai Peninsula yesterday.

There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for yesterday’s attack, however a Daesh-affiliated Sinai militant group has claimed responsibility for other similar attacks in the area.
