Former Muslim Brotherhood spokesperson Gehad Al-Haddad revealed yesterday that he “received death threats” while in prison, the Anadolu Agency reported.
When he appeared in the Cairo Criminal Court to be sentenced, Al-Haddad called on the media and journalists to take note: “We receive death threats inside the prisons.”
Al-Haddad, who was wearing the blue prison uniform and was clearly exhausted due to his ongoing hunger strike, added: “We are free and will remain free. The Egyptian people will not be broken and will regain their rights.”
Egyptian judicial source, who preferred not to be named, said that the Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the hearing until next Monday due to the absence of one of the defendants.
