Syrian regime forces yesterday targeted villages in Al-Akrad and Turkmen Mountains in northern Latakia, the Anadolu Agency reported.
Local sources said regime forces targeted with artillery and rockets a number of areas controlled by the Syrian opposition. They did not give information about any casualties.
According to Anadolu, the Syrian regime launched a ground operation against both areas the day before the artillery and rocket attacks, but opposition fighters stopped their advancement following severe clashes.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported regime attacks on several areas controlled by the opposition across the country during the ceasefire.
