Germany closes Ankara embassy over possible ‘terrorist attack’

Germany closes Ankara embassy over possible ‘terrorist attack’. The German Foreign Ministry announced yesterday that it has closed its embassy in the Turkish capital Ankara and its consulate general in Istanbul, due to “fears of a possible terrorist attack”.

The ministry said it also closed a German school in Istanbul because of an “uncertain warning”. On Tuesday, Germany warned its citizens of an “imminent attack”.

A suicide car bombing that erupted in Ankara on Sunday killed 37 people and wounded dozens more.
