As many as 23 Houthis were killed in raids carried by the Saudi-led coalition on Taiz yesterday.
Six members of the pro-Yemen President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi forces were also killed in the attack.
Houthi artillery shelling against residential neighbourhoods in the city have resulted in the death of three civilians and wounded several others.
Yemen’s Popular Resistance said in a statement on its official Twitter account that it was “able to cleanse the area west of Taiz, after battles backed by air cover from the Arab alliance, killing 23 Houthi militants and injuring dozens and destroying two military patrols and munition stores.”
