Israel razes Palestinian land in Jericho

Israeli occupation forces razed 650 dunams (0.65 square kilometres) of land in Jericho, the area had palm trees planted on it.

In a press release issued yesterday, Jericho Endowments’ Director Al-Mukalaf Mo’ayed El-Hilu said that it’s not the first time that the Israeli occupation forces attack the area or other land owned by the organisation.

He explained that the board has informed the Palestinian liaison forces and sent a delegation to the Sultan Company for Fresh Fruits which rents the land, which had in turn filed a lawsuit, at an Israeli court, against the settlers who regularly attack the land.

El-Hilu stressed: “Attacks by the occupation and the settlers will not stop us from defending our territory.” He called for action to be taken against the transgressors.
