Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has criticised former President Hashemi Rafsanjani who tweeted last week “the future is in dialogue, not missiles”.
“Those who say the future is in negotiations, not in missiles, are either ignorant or traitors,” Khamenei said during a celebration in the Iranian capital, Tehran .
“If the Islamic Republic seeks negotiations but has no defensive power, it would have to back down against threats from any weak country,” Khamenei added.
“I am not against political dialogue, but not with everyone. I support political dialogue in all parts of the world; today is the day of missiles and talks.”
