Daesh executed 15 of its own members in the Syrian city of Raqqa over allegations of spying following the killing of a senior member, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported yesterday.

The executions follow the arrest of more than 35 leading security elements on Saturday.

The members were killed in connection with the assassination of senior Daesh figure Abu Hija Al-Tunisi who was killed in an airstrike on Wednesday, the observatory said.
