Netanyahu invites Abbas to meet him

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has invited Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to meet him, Arab48.com reported on Monday.

Netanyahu reportedly said that he planned to have this week free of all agendas in preparation for the meeting.

During the reception of the Czech Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek on Monday, Netanyahu said: “One of the main issues we deal with is the desire to push forward peace. President Abbas said on a TV show a few days ago that he would accept an invitation to meet me if I had invited him.”

He continued: “Like what I have told a delegation of US Senators this morning, I am inviting him. I have made my schedule free from all agendas for this week. I am here today.”

About the issues to be discussed, Netanyahu said: “The first topic to be discussed is halting incitement. My door is open to everyone who wants peace with Israel.”
