Dozens of civilians were killed and others were wounded in Idlib and Homs by Syrian regime warplanes.
The civil defence of the Syrian opposition said 28 people were killed when regime warplanes bombed a popular market in the town of Maaret al-Numan, south of Idlib. The bombing caused great destruction and fires broke out in the market.
They also said that regime warplanes carried out an airstrike against the city of Jisr al-Shughour and dropped a barrel bomb in the afternoon south of Sarakeb city.
According to the civil defence, the warplanes targeted a popular fish market in Kafr Nabl killing seven civilians and wounding more than a dozen.
Activists reported the death of a man and a woman in Houla area in Homs province.
The attacks constitute new violations by the Syrian regime of the agreement for a “cessation of hostilities”.
