Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi dismissed the Commander of the Special Forces tasked with protecting the Green Zone, central Baghdad, according to a military source.
In a statement, the military said: “Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Haider Al-Abadi, issued a decree dismissing the Commander of the Special Forces tasked with protecting the Green Zone in central Baghdad, Mohammad Reza.”
“Al-Abadi ordered the appointment of Major General Karim Abboud Al-Tamimi in his place.”
