Libya’s Parliament Speaker: Saudi wants to hold a meeting for Libyan tribes

Saudi Arabia is working to hold a meeting between Libyan tribes, Libyan Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh said.

“Saudi Arabia is trying to bridge the gap in viewpoints and reconcile differences between the Libyans,” Saleh said in a statement, adding that Saudi and other Arab states are expected to play a role in Libya after Ramadan.

Saleh stressed that there is a consensus on the need for Libya to fight the Daesh’s presence in the country.

He explained that the Libyan army is approaching full liberalisation of the city of Benghazi and the expulsion of Daesh.
