The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) received a recording on Sunday showing Daesh executing five media activists from the city of Deir Ezzor in eastern Syria.

In a statement, SOHR said: “This action came after the arrest of the five activists, nearly nine months ago, from their homes in Syrian the city of Deir Ezzor.”

The statement noted that among those executed was SOHR activist Sami Jawdat Al-Rabbah Abu Islam.

SOHR said that the activists were executed in five different and sadistic ways on charges of “acting against Daesh and giving information in exchange for receiving money”.
