Egyptian students protest against examination leaks

Hundreds of Egyptian students and their families yesterday staged a protest in front of the education ministry in Cairo to protest against the repeated leaks of secondary school exams, Quds Press reported.

The leaks forced the ministry to cancel several exams and postpone several others. The protesters chanted slogans against the education minister, calling for him to step down.

Attempting to disperse the protest, the police stormed the area and pushed the protesters to leave. A number of them moved the protest to in front of the headquarters of the journalist syndicate, but the security forces followed them and arrested an unidentified number of protesters.

On Monday, police arrested 23 protesters as they dispersed a similar protest, but released them the next day.
