Tunisia: NATO contributes to develop intelligence gathering centre

The Tunisian Ministry of Defence announced yesterday that NATO is helping it establish a centre for the gathering and analysis of military intelligence.

“NATO is training a number of Tunisian military officials on the latest software and techniques used in the collection, analysis and dissemination of information in the field of counter terrorism,” the ministry added.

Tunisian media sources reported NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg as saying: “NATO is working to support the Tunisian competent security authorities in order to establish an intelligence gathering centre.”
