Israel to demolish 14 Palestinian homes to expand settlements

Israeli occupation authorities distributed demolition orders for 14 Palestinian houses and two agricultural structures in the West Bank city of Nablus, Safa news agency reported yesterday.

Director of settlement department in the Palestinian Authority Ghassan Daghlas said that the Israeli occupation is to demolish seven houses in Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, and seven others in Majdal Beni-Fadel, in the south of the city.

He also said that the orders to demolish two agricultural stores were submitted to farmers in two different neighbourhoods in the south of the city.

Israeli occupation authorities also said they would close two streets in the neighbourhood of Aqraba in the same city, Daghlas said.

The move is in keeping with Israel’s settlement expansion plan, he explained.
