Sanaa International Airport has been closed until further notice, Saba News Agency reported.

The agency quoted a source in the Civil Aviation Authority saying that it had decided to shut the airport down for three days after the Saudi-led coalition conducted airstrikes on Houthi rebel positions near the airport.

The source pointed out that Yemen Airways has informed its offices and customers of this decision.

Coalition airstrikes hit a presidential compound and military base in Sanaa as well as a Republican Guard base in the Arhab area near the airport.
