Egypt: 46 pharmacies closed for violating medical requirements

Forty-six pharmacies have been closed for violating medical requirements in the governorate of Gharbia, Egypt’s Ministry of Health reported yesterday.

Dr Mohammed Sharshar, a senior official at the Ministry of Health, said the decision to close the pharmacies came because there was an absence of pharmacists, the temperature of the refrigerators were incorrect for the medicines which were stored inside, or because they were found to be selling unlicensed and contraband drugs.
