Syrian regime warplanes wage intensive raids on Hama

Syrian regime warplanes yesterday waged intensive raids against armed opposition factions in the areas north of Hama.

Opposition factions launched strikes against two military checkpoints south of Halfaya, according to sources; they gained control of the villages of Weibdeh and Nasiriyah.

The fighters have now reached the outskirts of the city of Soran; one of the regime’s most important strongholds, north of the town of Hama.
