Three women and three children were killed by Houthi and Saleh militias yesterday afternoon. A katyusha rocket landed on a house in Al-Selw district of Taiz.
Houthi and Saleh militias have imposed a siege on Taiz for over a year leaving almost no access to food, water or medical supplies. They routinely shell civilian areas.
The Houthi rebels took over Yemen’s capital Sana’a after a coup on 21 September 2014 with the help of forces loyal to ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Prior to the Yemeni revolution, Saleh fought six wars with the group.
