Saudi bombs well in Yemen, kills civilians

A Saudi airstrike killed 30 people on Saturday when it struck a well in the Yemeni village of Beit Saadan, a village in Arhab district.

Witnesses said warplanes bombed workers who were drilling for water and then proceeded to bomb a crowd that gathered at the scene after the first round of airstrikes. Children were among those reported to have been killed.

Yemen has suffered significantly as a result of a water crisis. In 2012, the World Bank estimated that the country’s water supply could be fully depleted within two decades.
