President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, arrived in Nouakchott today as part of a tour that will include a trip to Venezuela, so that he can participate in the Non-Aligned Movement conference.
Abbas was greeted by Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz President of Mauritania and together the two laid foundations stones for the first embassy of Palestine in Mauritania.
After making a speech to the NAM on the 17th, Abbas will fly to New York for the United Nations General Assembly.
