Yemen’s Central Bank moves to Aden

The Hadi government has announced that it will be moving Yemen’s Central Bank’s headquarters from the capital city of Sana’a, which is held by Houthi and Saleh forces, to the southern city of Aden.

Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi’s government has openly announced its lack of faith in the bank’s former head Mohammed Awad Bin Hammam. He has now been replaced with the former Finance Minister Monasser Al Quaiti.

According to Yemen’s state news agency Saba News, Hadi has also enforced a cabinet reshuffle. Ahmad Obaid Al-Fadhli has become the new finance minister.
