The Israeli occupation forces raided the Shuafat refugee camp, located in northern occupied East Jerusalem, early this morning.
Eyewitnesses said that the forces carried out a large-scale raid operation and stormed a number of inhabitants’ homes.
The witnesses also added that an Israeli helicopter flew low over the camp and across occupied East Jerusalem.
Israeli forces have increased raids on Palestinian towns, villages and refugee camps over the past year, arresting more than 2,355 Palestinians in Jerusalem alone since 1 October 2015.
Just over a third of all those arrested – 866 – were children, including 79 under 12-years-old.
