The Palestine Book Awards pre-launch evening is set to get underway tonight at the P21 Gallery in London.

Professor Eugene Rogan, Director of Oxford University’s Middle East Centre at St Antony’s College, will be joined by four of the shortlisted authors: Yasir Suleiman, Lorenzo Kamel, Jehan Bseiso, Anaheed Al-Hardan.

Professor Karma Nabulsi, a Fellow in Politics at St Edmund Hall and David Borrington and illustrator of one of the shortlisted books, will also be taking part in the conversation.

The pre-launch event is an opportunity for the shortlisted authors to discuss their works with the public. It is also a chance to ask questions and network with the authors before the main book awards taking place tomorrow.

The Palestine Book Awards began in 2012 to honour and recognise the best authored works on the subject of Palestine. Since then, it has have gone from strength to strength, with the number of submissions growing significantly.

You can follow both events on Twitter from 7pm this evening.
