Lebanese army cracks down on soldier killers

The Lebanese army, on Monday, raided areas in north of the country after one soldier was killed and another was wounded in an attack on an army post overnight.

A Lebanese security source told Jordan’s Petra News Agency,  in Beirut, that “the army arrested seven people accused of assaulting its elements and of belonging to terrorist organizations, while the air force helicopters are hovering over Akkar and Dinniyeh areas to assist infantry units who were launching raids in search of the militants”.

The source explained that one soldier was killed and another was wounded when unidentified militants opened fire on an army post.
