The administrative office of the Palestinian National Security Forces, Abu Nidhal Shihada, was injured on Sunday by gunfire at the Ain Al-Hilwa Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon.
This is the second assassination attempt targeting a Palesitnian official in Lebanon in one week, after the Palestinian embassy’s security officer Ismail Shrouf survived gunfire on 29 January in the city of Saida.
Qatar News Agency quoted security sources as saying that unknown assailants attacked Shihada and beat him before shooting him. He was injured in the leg and taken to a hospital at the refugee camp.
