Dozens of settlers attacked residents in various areas of Hebron yesterday, while large numbers of Israeli forces were deployed in Tulkarem, the occupied West Bank.
According to a correspondent from the Palestinian Information Centre, dozens of settlers attacked Palestinians yesterday afternoon in the Tel Rumeida neighbourhood, in central Hebron. The attacks included abusive language and racist remarks against Arabs.
Media activist in Beit Ummar, Mohammad Ayad Awwad, reported that hundreds of settlers stormed Beit Ummar, located north of Hebron, behaved in a provocative manner.
He added that the settlers were carrying guns and rifles and they set off from inside the Gush Etzion settlement and headed to Thaghrat Al-Shabak, Mount Abu Suda, and Wadi Safa. The group of settlers included a number of school children chanting songs in Hebrew, including: “This is Israel’s land”.

In addition to this, Israel forces raided Kafr Al-Labad, east of Tulkarem, in the context of widespread combing operations yesterday.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Centre that dozens of Israeli soldiers stormed the village with ground forces and military patrols surrounding it.
The sources also added that the soldiers stationed themselves between the homes of the people and main roads and questioned many Palestinians. They also constructed a military checkpoint on the road between Kafr Al-Labad and Anabta.
