Riyadh most affordable city in GCC

Riyadh has been ranked as the most affordable city in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), according to the Worldwide Cost of Living Report 2017, with Muscat coming in second.

The index lists 133 cities in order of most expensive cost of living. Jeddah came in at 112th most expensive city, making it the cheapest in the GCC, with Muscat coming second by ranking at 103rd.

Abu Dhabi and Dubai both ranked at 62nd, making them the most expensive cities in the GCC. The Bahraini capital Manama was ranked 86th, followed by Kuwait City and Doha, Qatar, which were ranked at 99th.

A recent survey conducted by InterNations showed that Saudi Arabia is the fifth worst country for expats worldwide. Kuwait was ranked as the worst country for expats in the world, according to the survey.
