Israeli police have arrested a Palestinian teen suspected to have lightly injured four Israelis at a hotel in Tel Aviv on Sunday.

After initial confusion, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said in a statement that it was an attack and the suspect was being questioned.

The 18-year-old Palestinian reportedly charged at people in a hotel in Tel Aviv with “work tools”, according to Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

Since October of 2015, more than 265 Palestinians have been killed in alleged stabbing attacks or in clashes with Israeli forces, according to official Palestinian figures.

Israeli authorities say at least 47 Israelis have been killed by Palestinians over the same period.
