Arab and Gulf investors favour Turkey for investment

The general manager of the Qatari Holding Company (QT), revealed on Friday that investors from the Arab and Gulf countries favour Turkey as the best place for their investments, Anadolu has reported. “Turkey has succeeded in winning the biggest slice of the Arab and Gulf overseas investment cake,” Abde-Latif Al-Meir said, albeit in different sectors.

He confirmed that his company trusts Turkish abilities and announced that it would invest between $20 and 30 million in Turkey this year. The Qatari official expects the size of the investment to get notably bigger over the coming years.

According to Al-Meir, when investors take decisions, they do not work in one country at the same time, but tend to take strategic and long-term investment decisions.

Qatari Holding Company is active in the construction sector in Turkey, in addition to vehicles. It has had a number of successful investments in various Turkish cities.
