Iran is a greater threat to Saudi Arabia than Israel, the Director of the Middle East Centre for Strategic and Legal Studies, Anwar Eshki, has said, adding that solidarity with the Palestinians is the reason Tel Aviv is boycotted.

Some people see that Israel did not attack Saudi Arabia and did not harm it, so why should we fight it, while Iran supports terrorism that harms the kingdom and incites against it

Eshki said in an interview with Quds Press.

“These people see that Iran is Saudi Arabia’s main enemy and not Israel, and that Saudi enmity toward Israel is part of the Saudis’ support for the Palestinians,” he explained.

He stressed that the debate regarding Saudi Arabia’s future relations with Israel represents the opinion of the participants and does not reflect the official Saudi opinion, adding that the kingdom had affirmed that it would only establish relations with Israel after the latter responds to the Palestinian rights and accepts the Arab Initiative.
