The Al-Shabaab group called the President of the United States, Donald Trump, a “brainless billionaire”, in a new video released on Sunday, reported Africa News.
The group’s spokesman said the American people voted to make the country great again, but ‘‘what they underestimated, however, was the man’s level of stupidity”. The spokesperson continued; Trump is “arguably the most stupid president a country could ever have” who “singlehandedly succeeded in making the United States the greatest joke on earth”.
Al-Shabaab’s video was released by the Intelligence group SITE.
Somalia’s government and African Union peacekeeping troops have been battling Al-Shabaab for over a decade. The Al-Qaeda linked group calls for the implementation of a strict version of Islamic law. The group regularly bombs areas across the country in an effort to destabalise government and take control of official institutions.
