3 Israeli ministers call for Sheikh Raed Salah’s arrest

Three Israeli ministers have called for the head of the Islamic Movement in Israel, Sheikh Raed Salah, to be arrested and placed under administrative detention.

Speaking during a cabinet session, ministers Avigdor Lieberman, Yisrael Katz and Yoav Galant demanded that Salah be placed under administrative detention.

The ministers demanded that other movement leaders be arrested along with Salah.

However, delegates from the Attorney General’s office opposed the three ministers’ request saying there was no reason to place Salah under administrative detention adding that he “did not incite violence”.
