Elham Shahin survives assassination attempt in Syria

The prominent Egyptian actress Elham Shahin has denied rumours that someone attempted to assassinate her in Syria.

Speaking during an exclusive interview with Lebanon’s LTC channel, Shahin said that she was surprised when she received dozens of calls from her family and friends after they learnt from the media that a bomb exploded near the Damascus International Fair earlier this month.

Shahin added that the explosion took place hours after she left the exhibition’s venue where she was participating in the fair alongside actor Mohamed Sobhi, film director Amr Abdelaziz،and anchor Bousy Shalaby.

“I pray that God protects the Arab nation from the terrorists,” she said.
