The Arab League called on all international bodies and organisation to prosecute Israeli leaders and extremists who commit massacres against Palestinians, Quds Net reported yesterday.
In a statement issued by the Department of Palestine and the Occupied Arab Lands to mark the 61st anniversary of Kafr Qasem Massacre, the Arab League reiterated its full support for the Palestinian right to self-determination and to establish a state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The main Arab organisation called for the UN, international community and all the free people in the world to immediately work to stop the daily crimes carried out by Israel against the Palestinians.
The Kafr Qasem Massacre on 29 October 1956 when Israeli occupation authorities imposed a curfew on the town and its outskirts. The leader of the Israeli Central Command asked his soldiers to shot anyone who was not at home, even those who were unaware that a curfew was in place.
At 16:30, Israelis informed the villagers about the curfew, while hundreds were at work. When they returned home, soldiers opened fire at them over claims that they had violating the curfew.
