Kuwait company signs $1.4bn deal with US’ Pentagon

The Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport Company (KGL) yesterday announced the signing of a $1.38 billion supply contract with the US’ Pentagon.

KGL Catering Company which is 99 per cent owned by KGL said in a statement that it will provide foodstuff and logistic services to the US army in Kuwait, Iraq and Jordan for 24 months. The contract term may be increased to 60 months, it added.

The value of the contract may decrease depending on the US army’s needs and the operational conditions.

Founded in 1982, KGL provides land and sea transport services for passengers and goods as well as the manufacture and trade of cleaning materials, road emergency services and agriculture.
