Turkish Deputy Prime Minister, Bekir Bozdağ, has said that peace in the Middle East and the world cannot be achieved without solving the Palestinian cause.

“Jerusalem is the key to peace. The door to peace will open from Jerusalem, and solving the Palestinian issue will be the beginning of solving many problems” Bozdağ said.

Speaking at the Jerusalem meeting in Istanbul, Bozdağ said: “We all have to work together to solve the Palestinian cause and in order to succeed, Islamic countries must be at the forefront.”

“If we cooperate together, we can overcome all the obstacles,” he said, adding that “to this day, Islamic countries have succeeded only when they worked in the framework of common will”.

“Unless Palestine is liberated from the occupation and turned into a fully independent and powerful state, we cannot say that the Palestine and Jerusalem issue is resolved. Turkey is sincere in this matter,” he added.
