Israel will allow power generators to enter the besieged Gaza Strip, the Israeli Radio reported reported.
Israeli officials announced the decision during the international donor group for Palestine in Brussels on Wednesday.
Israel has also proposed a plan to support the reconstruction of Gaza Strip which includes establishing a desalination plant, expanding the electricity grid and the development of the industrial zone in Erez, Israel’s Haaretz newspaper reported.
Israeli Minister of Regional Cooperation, Tzachi Hanegbi presented the plan, stressing that Israel would not be lenient regarding the introduction of dual use materials, which could be used for military purposes.

It is unknown if the Israeli decision will improve the electricity supply for the Palestinians in Gaza Strip amid the deteriorating economic conditions and lack of financial capacity in the enclave.
The European Union and Norway held on Wednesday an urgent meeting of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee for the assistance of Palestinian people in Brussels to address the Palestinian funding crisis after the US threatened to reduce financial aid to Palestinians.
The European Union announced that donor countries have decided to provide more than 42 million euros in aid to the Palestinians.
In 2017 Israel allowed the entry of only nine generators from Israel to the Gaza Strip.
