The Director General of Environmental Health in the Riyadh Municipality has issued a circular to all municipalities prohibiting music, mixing between men and women and smoking in restaurants, cafes and malls.

The circular was issued based on directives from the prince of Riyadh.

According to the circular, the prince of Riyadh stressed on the importance to ensure that restaurants, cafes and malls respect the regulations and ensure safety measurements.

The circular instructed the municipalities to undertake field visits to the restaurants, cafes and malls and enforce penalties on violators.
