The Jordan Supreme Criminal Court has sentenced a 50-year-old Syrian father to 25 years imprisonment for sexually assaulting his five daughters since childhood, a judicial source said.

The source said the court decided to increase the sentence from 15 to 25 years “because the victims were his daughters; he caused two of them to lose their virginity and he sexually assaulted [all five of them] over 200 times”.

“The girls have filed a complaint against their father after they were fed up with his [abuse] since they were young,” he added.

The man has two Syrian wives and a third Jordanian wife.
