Qatar and Jordan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) yesterday to boost transport rights between the two countries.
The MoU was signed during a two-day meeting between the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Jordan’s Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) to discuss boosting air transport between the two countries and ways to enhance joint cooperation in the field of civil aviation and airports.
Qatar’s delegation was led by CAA Chairman, Abdullah bin Nasser Turki Al-Subaey, while Jordan’s CARC was led by Chief Commissioner Haitham Misto.

The MoU allows Qatar Airways to increase passenger flights between Doha and Amman to 12 flights per week as well as increase air cargo flights to seven flights per week.
The two parties also agreed on the importance of updating the air services agreement signed between the two countries in 1976.
The memorandum came into effect on the day of its signing.
