The Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika ordered today a partial cabinet reshuffle, replacing the country’s four ministers of trade, tourism, sports and parliamentary affairs.
According to a presidential decree published by the official Algeria Press Service (APS), Mohammed Hattab was has replaced Hadi Ould Ali as the country’s youth and sports minister, while Saeed Jalab was appointed as the trade minister.
The decree also included appointing Abdul Qadir Bin Masood as the tourism minister, replacing Hassan Marmouri and Mahjoub Bada as the parliamentary affairs minister instead of Tahir Khawah.

The presidential decree did not specify the other tasks for which the president had tasked the excluded ministers.
The trade ministry is currently considered one of the Algeria’s most important ministries as it had played a pivotal role in formulating Algeria’s current austerity policy which was adopted three years ago in hopes of stemming foreign-currency outflows by reducing imports.
