Israeli warplanes bombed a Hamas military position in Gaza city early Thursday, according to local reports.

Israeli aircraft hit a military site affiliated with the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s armed wing, in the northern Gaza Strip.

Ayman al-Sahabani, head of the emergency department at a hospital in Gaza, said one Palestinian, 31-year-old Mohammed Hicile, was killed and another person was injured during the attack.

The Israeli army has yet to issue a statement.
